What if we cannot come up with the deposit within the time given?

Unless arrangements are made within a reasonable time,  Contract and money applied will be returned and date will be available to the public.  Reasonable time, No more than 30 days.

The contract says full payment no later than two weeks before event, if this is not made than what?

We are looking at adding interest from day one just like stores do for purchases when they give no interest deals,  this may be put in place Jan. 01, 2011 on future contracts.  As for now the full payment to be made no later than two weeks before the day of the event.  Until payment is made you will not be allowed to enter or use Joy Haven.

QUESTIONS?

We are looking at having a couple small square bales for the wedding, is that possible?

Answer

Yes, let us know ahead of time

QUESTION?

In regards to having a social hour, is there anyway we could do 2 kegsof beer and just serve that behind the bar, as well as maybe some arbor mist wine? In doing cost, we figured that getting a keg and some  wine was less espensive than buying 300 guests drinks...? We could supply the beer and wine, and still have them served behind the bar? Just wondering if that is an option.

ANSWER

All the liquor has to run through Joy Haven,  So let us know what you want for kegs of beer and they will be purchased through Joy Haven and billed to you as well as the wine.  As you noted all liquor goes through room 911.  Let me know what you want I will get the prices for you.
All drinks will have to be served in plastic containers which we will have.

As far as the sound system goes I have one unit that works by itself, runs off a internal battery and we also have a Honda generator for a larger sound sytem which is very quiet.  Whenever you want you can check out the systems and decide which you want.  Both systems will work with cordless mics.  We are not charging for any of these sound systems for 2009.

QUESTION?

So, if we don't want to have alcohol, do we still have to contact the Sherriff's department?

ANSWER

Yes, you are still required to have due to having a gathering of people.  And if you having a wedding with no alcohol that means no alcohol will be present at Joy Haven which means those drinking in the cars or outside will be asked to put it away.  This is in respect and wishes of the wedding couple.

QUESTION?

How many people can you seat at the round tables? We want to just use those if there is enough seating. Also, what is the diameter of them? I was planning on using a colored tablecloth over top of the white ones.

ANSWER

The tables seat 8, but ideally 6 would be nice. gives a little more space - But you can decide on that. They are 5' in diameter.

QUESTION?

We have a lot of friends who would like to bring out a camper or tent for the wedding nite, do you have a spot?

ANSWER

the area south of Joy Haven is where campers, motorhomes, tents will be.  I have it fenced off and mowed.  We have no hook ups for water or anything.  This will be for the wedding party  and guest, they can set up the day before and ask that they leave by 5 p.m. the day after.  They will be responsible for all clean up.  The area is to the south of Joy Haven.  Reminder, we would like to see people stay the night than to drive home if drinking.

QUESTION?

What is included in the price of the $600.

ANSWER

For 2010 this is what is FREE,  when you book a date you get the day before along with the wedding day.  So you have a date booked and confirmed.  Wedding at the Gazebo , $75 which includes the sound system and chair setup.   Table Linen for the tables,    Use of the yard to unwind after and before the wedding.  Parking for RV and tenting,.  The biggest demand from your guest is respect for the Wedding pair and Joy Haven.

If you have any questions please contact us. So if you want to check out something, measure something or even show it off, stop in.  This is a business just like any other and is open to the public.  My cell is 701.290.0112  Thanks,

Question:

I am wondering if you know how many tables are set up for 300 guests and if there a layout that works best for that many guests?

Also, I'm working on filling out the questionaire, but I'm wondering if we need to plan on setting up tables or if that will be done ahead of time?
Answer:

For 300 guests there would be approximately 38 tables - They are 8 ft tables that seat 10 people.  The layout would probably have to be that the table would run lengthwise North and South (the long ways of the quonset) Does the 300 include your wedding party and parents, etc. We would set up the tables the way we think it would work for that many - we would have the tablecloths on. Chairs we would also put out.

Question:

  • What is all included in the kitchen area Joy Haven?  Do you have a stove/range?
  • Do you have any serving things available (such as cutlery/dinnerware/cups)?
 Answer:

We do not have a stove/range, food must be catered in or provided by person's renting Joy haven.
We are adding more and more items to Mom's Room so check with us.

Question:

So how much will we have to pay for the alcohol to be present at the receprtion?

Answer:
You would only have to pay if you have an open social hour where you would pay for your guest's drinks.  You can choose to just have a cash bar where the people buy their own drinks.  Social hour is one hour only,  You can also purchase a keg of beer,  16 or 8 gallons.   Red eye is ok for now.

Question:

My plan is that my fiancee and I are planning to get married at my parent's house a few miles north of your place (in Dunn county).  I was just wondering if it would be possible to rent your place in case of bad weather for the wedding ceremony and how much something like that would cost.

Answer:

We charge a flat fee of $500/day. 2010
